Black holes are like gloomy dots found in space that empowers itself with gravity and taking in anything it gets close to. But in reality, there are more things to know concerning black holes as physicist came to a view of these spots in space when they caught the very first image of a black hole.
They learned new bizarre discoveries such as a black hole’s tendency to grow and lose hair, their inside parts, and etc. So, here are two things that we have learned in 2019 about black holes.
1. Blacks holes can be bald and can have hair.
In history, scientists believed that every black hole was bald and only contained properties such as electric charge, angular momentum, and mass.
In 2016, Stephen hawking and his team published a statement that “black holes have hair”. Later in 2018, a study confirmed that black holes with high electric charge do have so called “hairs”. In Earlier 2019, physicist discovered that also black holes with not that much electric charge possibly has hair.
At the moment, this claim is considered to be just mere speculation. But experts say that the Earth’s gravitational-wave sensor would in the future support this belief with evidence.
2. The Largest Black Hole.
Scientists have found out last November a black hole that was extremely large that it is even hard to believe that it existed. It was said to be 15,000 light-years away from the earth. They supposed it existed when they noticed a massive star, which is 8 times bigger than the sun, circling around a dark empty space. Their calculations show that the star circled a black hole that is approximately 70 times the sun’s mass.
